17 Mar Why Flash Balayage is Our Colouring Technique of 2022
If you’re anything like us, you can’t get enough of balayage! Glamorous, elegant, and undeniably beautiful, it’s one of our favourite ways to add colour and movement to long locks. We’re not the only ones, either. From Margot Robbie to Cara Delevigne, some of the world’s most famous and gorgeous women are just as big fans as we are!
This year, though, we’re looking to freshen up the technique and add a new level to your colouring. That’s why we’ve introduced flash balayage to our list of hair colouring techniques, and we’ve got the lowdown on our new favourite style.
What Is Flash Balayage?
As the weather slowly warms and we make our way ever closer to Spring, who can resist lightening their locks? This year, we’ve got the perfect method to complement the shades and vibe of the warmer seasons: flash balayage.
Flash balayage brings just flashes of lighter tones to your hair. By applying monochromatic colour to specific places throughout your locks in multiple tones, we can achieve an incredibly natural, soft look. It’s romantic, sultry and will leave you feeling incredibly beautiful.
How Is Flash Balayage Acheived?
To create the flash balayage look, we always hand paint the colour onto your hair. This gives us complete control which is essential for a professional finish that highlights your face and features. We’ll section the hair off and begin applying colour from the bottom and working our way up in “W” formations. This will be continued across the hair, at specific sections, and we may apply more than one colour.
Of course, every flash balayage we apply will be slightly different. That’s just a sneak peek at our technique, and the way we apply your colour will be specific to you. But, the idea is the same: to create flashes of light in your hair.
Why We Love Flash Balayage
We’re obsessed with flash balayage for a whole host of reasons! It’s super feminine and soft, perfect for long summer evenings and days at the beach. It adds lift to hair and brightens it without going over the top, giving you a natural sunkissed look that’s going to earn you plenty of envious looks. It’s soft but sexy and really easy to maintain. Once we’ve coloured and toned your hair, you could go the whole of summer without anything more than a trim!
